Top Rookies and Autographs Highlight 2004 Fleer Ultra WNBA
In 2004, talk about the WNBA starts out with that incredible rookie class and 2004
Fleer Ultra WNBA is no different. Find Diana Taurasi, Alana Beard, Nicole Ohlde and
Lindsey Whalen at a rate of 1:4 packs. They've got Next! There are 20 great rookies
to collect.
It starts with rookies, but Ultra WNBA brings it with some serious inserts at attainable
odds. Game-used memorabilia cards appear at a whopping 1:8 packs, featuring All-Star Review
with players like Cash, Catchings and Leslie or Scoring Stars featuring the likes of Bird,
Jackson and Smith. Both inserts feature multiple versions including non-memorabilia, jersey
and patch versions. Also, look out for late editions Diana Taurasi and Alana Beard Season
Crowns Rookie jersey cards numbered to 500.
Fleer wanted to "step it up a notch." So, we didn't stop there. Fleer brings back
autographed cards to the WNBA in a big way. Season Crowns Autographs will replace one of the
3 memorabilia cards coming out of special boxes. Players like Tamika Catchings, Alana Beard
and Ruth Riley signed 100 numbered cards to make this a great chase! Get your WNBA singing
bonus in Fleer Ultra WNBA!
If you want to see a cool insert, try Season Crowns Letters for the chance to own a card featuring
a uniquely collectible game-used "letter" from the nameplate off of the back of your
favorite player. Cards are numbered and limited to the number of letters in the players' last
names. For example, Sue Bird's cards are numbered to only 4! "B" is number 1 of 4, "I"
is number 2 of 4 and so on. Think of it as Fleer's WNBA "Initial" public offering! You can
find the "C" in Catchings or the "J" in Jackson. Look for late editions Diana
Taurasi and Alana Beard, featuring the letters off of the first pre-season jersey worn by each player!
All this and the return of the ever-popular Gold (1:1 pack) and Platinum (numbered to just 100, rookie
Platinum numbered to just 25!) Medallion parallels. These beauties feature a coloration change as well
as a die-cut and (on the Platinum version) serial numbering.
Collectors looking for a challenge have a ton of places to look; memorabilia cards, rookie cards,
autographed cards, inserts, parallels and don't forget the award-winning Ultra basic card photography!
It's plain to see that Ultra has stepped up its game. It's time for you step up and get some Fleer
Ultra WNBA!
