In The Game Announces Wrapper Redemption Program for the 2005 Toronto Spring Expo

In The Game, Inc., manufacturers of NHL-licensed hockey cards, is proud to announce details of its newest Wrapper Redemption Program at the upcoming 2005 Toronto Spring Expo.

The Expo, acknowledged as the largest hockey card and memorabilia show in the world, is taking place at the International Centre on April 29, 30 and May 1. Furthermore, In The Game is the only trading card manufacturer with a booth at the show.

"We have always made a commitment to the hobby," explained Dr. Brian Price, President of In The Game, "and an integral part of that commitment is our continued participation in shows such as the Expo. The past year has proven that many hockey card collectors have no intention of dropping out of the hobby, and it is essential that we support each other. There was never any question about our participation. This is the biggest hockey card show of the year. Why would we miss it?"

The Expo will also serve as a showcase for the release of In The Game's 2004-05 NHL Franchises U.S. East Edition brand. Released on April 28th, it is the third phase of In The Game's extremely successful NHL Franchises brand.

The latest version of In The Game's Wrapper Redemption Program will focus on the 2004-05 Heroes & Prospects brand as well as the three NHL Franchises brands including Canadian Edition, the U.S. West Edition, and the U.S. East Edition. No other In The Game brands including Heroes & Prospects Update sets - will be eligible for this Program.

Collectors who purchase packs and/or boxes of 2004-05 Heroes & Prospects and 2004-05 NHL Franchises from dealers at the show can open them at the In The Game booth. In exchange for the wrappers, they will receive special foil-stamped base cards from either set commemorating the 2005 Spring Expo. These cards will be sequentially numbered to 10 and are exclusive to the show.

The Heroes & Prospects redemption cards will include the 230 cards from the base set (including the 50-card Update set) plus the 20-card Top Prospects Game insert set. The NHL Franchises redemption cards will include all 450 cards from the base sets of the Canadian, U.S. West, and U.S. East Editions.

Collectors will receive one foil-stamped NHL Franchises card for each NHL Franchises wrapper submitted at the booth. They will receive one foil-stamped Heroes & Prospects card for each Heroes & Prospects Hobby wrapper submitted at the booth. Furthermore, collectors will receive one foil-stamped Heroes & Prospects card for every TWO Arena wrappers submitted at the booth.

All packs and boxes must be opened at the In The Game booth during the show.

Collectors at the Spring Expo will also have the opportunity to receive special one-of-one game-used memorabilia cards. To qualify, they must open two sealed Hobby boxes of Heroes & Prospects, four sealed Arena boxes of Heroes & Prospects, two sealed boxes of NHL Franchises, or two Super Boxes at the In The Game booth.

Approximately 500 different game-used memorabilia cards will be available including cards of Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Maurice Richard, Patrick Roy, Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux. These cards come from insert sets in both the Heroes & Prospects and NHL Franchises products. Each will feature special foil stamping and will be numbered "1/1".

"We are looking forward to a strong response to our Wrapper Redemption Program this time around," explained Price. "All of these brands have been very popular and to be honest, this will be a nice reward for everyone who has supported us through a difficult season. We are only too happy to be there for collectors."

All boxes must be opened at the same time and all wrappers must be submitted to In The Game personnel. Boxes MUST have shrink wrap with the In The Game logo on it to qualify. The redemption card offer extends through all three days of the show or while supplies last. Those receiving one-of-one memorabilia cards are not eligible for the traditional redemption cards numbered out of 10. In The Game reserves the right to limit the quantity of cards per customer.
